Terms of Use
2026-10-23.13 · 2026-10-23
Please read these Terms carefully. They explain what you can expect from Tennis Star and what we expect from you.
1. About these Terms
Tennis Star (the app) is an independent service (we, us). When you create an account, tick the boxes at sign-up, or keep using the app after we ask you to accept an update, you agree to: these Terms of Use, the Privacy Notice, the Viewing and Sharing Options, the Acceptable Use Rules, and the Feature Schedule. Together these are the Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not create an account and do not use the app.
2. Who can use the app
The app is for players, coaches, academies, parents or guardians, and administrators of tennis in Egypt. Each person may have one account.
Many players are under 18. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must read the Terms, agree to them for you, and allow you to use the app. A parent or guardian who agrees for a child is responsible for that child's use of the app.
Players under 13: a player under 13 may not create an account alone. A parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account and is responsible for the child's use of the app. From age 13 a player may use the app on their own.
- You must give true and current information, including your name and your ETF player number if you add one.
- Keep your password secret and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Some roles need approval by an administrator. We may refuse, reject or remove a request if we cannot confirm who you are or if the request does not match our records.
3. Roles and access to features
What you can see and do depends on your role (Player, Coach, Academy, Parent or Admin) and on the features an administrator has switched on for that role or for you. Features can be switched on or off at any time. Having access to a feature today does not mean you will always have it.
Optional features default to off for Player, Coach, Academy and Parent. Admin always has access. An individual Allow or Deny overrides the role setting; Inherit follows the role. Core account, sign-in, legal and admin-contact pages remain available. Public score links work only while the match owner has public sharing enabled.
4. What the app does and does not do
The app helps with rankings, player profiles, matches, live scoring, draws, progress, academies, coaches and parents. It is an information tool.
Ranking, player and tournament information comes partly from published tennis data. Tennis Star is an independent service. We are not in any way part of any other organization, nor do we claim to be or want to ever be part of it. We are Tennis Star. No other organization endorses Tennis Star unless stated otherwise.
We try to keep information correct, but we do not promise that it is complete, current or error free. Official rankings, results and decisions are those of the official published sources and the tournament organisers, not the app. Calculators and estimates in the app are for guidance only.
5. Current and future features
These Terms cover every feature of the app, including features that already exist and features we add later. The Feature Schedule describes what each feature does with your data and who can see it.
If a new feature collects a new kind of data, changes who can see your data, sends a new kind of message, or costs money, we will update the Terms and the Feature Schedule and ask you to accept them again before you use that feature.
6. Free use and future charges
The app is free to use for now. We may introduce paid features in the future. We will tell you before any charge starts, and we will not charge you without a separate agreement from you.
7. Your information and your content
You keep ownership of the information you add (for example names, numbers, match scores and messages). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, free licence to store it, process it and show it inside the app as set out in the Viewing and Sharing Options, to run and protect the app, and to produce statistics that do not identify you.
You promise that you have the right to add what you add. Coaches, academies and parents may add or link information about a player only if they have the right to do so.
8. Live scoring and match data
People who score a match must score it honestly and carefully. Live matches can be shown to anyone who has the public live link, without logging in, including player names, score, court and status. We may correct, hide or remove scores or matches at any time, for example to fix an error or to protect a player.
9. Messages and emails
We send service messages that are needed to run your account, such as email verification, approvals, invitations, security notices and notifications about links, requests and doubles partnerships. We may also send announcements, for example tournament and ranking updates, in English and Arabic. You can unsubscribe from announcements and alert emails at any time, using the link in the email or the switches in Settings. Service messages continue while you have an account.
When you invite someone (for example a parent or a coach), we send them an email on your behalf. Only invite people you know and who should have access.
10. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Rules. You must not abuse or misuse the site, the data or other users.
11. Suspension and ending your account
We may warn you, limit features, suspend or block your account, remove content, or end your access if you break the Terms, if we need to protect a player or the app, if you give false information, or if the law requires it.
You may stop using the app at any time. To close your account and ask us to delete your personal data, use Privacy requests in My account or contact us. Some records must stay, as explained in the Privacy Notice.
12. Availability and changes to the app
We aim to keep the app running, but it may be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We keep backups, but you should keep your own copy of anything important. We may change, limit or stop features. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
13. No promises beyond the law
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided as it is and as available. We make no promise that it will meet your needs, that it will be uninterrupted, or that information in it is accurate or complete.
14. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of opportunities (for example a missed tournament entry or ranking position), for mistakes in information added by users or published by the federation, or for the acts of other users or of third-party services. Nothing in these Terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
15. Your responsibility
To the extent the law allows, you are responsible for loss we or others suffer because you broke the Terms or added unlawful or false information.
16. Ownership of the app
The app, its design, software, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Names, marks and logos of other organizations, clubs and others belong to their owners. You may not copy or reuse them except as the law allows or with permission.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update the Terms. Each version has a number and a date. When a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email and ask you to accept the new version before you continue. If you do not accept, you can close your account.
18. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a concern, including about how your data is used, please contact us first through the Contact page in the app so we can put it right. This does not limit any right you have under the law, including the right to complain to the competent authority or to go to court.
19. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking to you. If that does not work, the competent courts of Cairo will decide it, unless the law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
20. General
These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the app. If a part is found invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. The Terms are available in English and Arabic. If the two differ, the English version prevails. We may send notices to you in the app or to your email address.
